Justin Wender

I work on blockchain data infrastructure at Allium.

Most of my work is the same problem in different forms: how do you make public, adversarial, often-messy onchain data trustworthy enough for serious people to act on it? That problem pulls in economics, game theory, and a fair amount of plumbing. This site is where I put longer-form work: research, projects, and occasional writing.

Selected projects

  • Credence

A DeFi protocol that won the BNB Chain Hackathon's DeFi track. Built solo as a hackathon project, currently iterating on the live deployment.

  • JTW Handicapper

Password: Kentucky-Derby. A machine learning system for horse racing markets. Targets exotic and multi-race pools using XGBoost models trained on roughly 317,000 historical entries.

  • UNI: From Governance Token to Productive Asset

First place at the Bentley Fintech Research Competition, April 2026. A fundamental valuation of UNI post-UNIfication, using Allium onchain data to build a competitive comparable analysis and a natural experiment around the staggered fee switch rollout.
